These pictures are from a recent visit to Toronto by a TV crew from Bejing China. I could not get any specific information from the young Chinese woman presenter who spoke English perfectly. She did not want to give her name. Maybe she is famous in China. If anyone knows please let me know.
I was in the St Lawrence Food Market here in Toronto visiting the hat shop Urban Hat in the lower level of the market. The owner Rene Falcon is pictured wearing one of her creations. Rene is a hat revivalist and a woman after my own heart. The inspiration for her hat designs are from the Edwardian period. The designs however do include newer materials. She does the more traditional hats almost like replicas but she also has summer wear made with cotton twill where the design has an Edwardian influence. Look for me on Chinese TV. I was very exhibitionist with the hats and hugging the crew etc. Apparently Chinese TV travel show are similar to ours!

I forgot to mention in this post that Rene's hats give a UPF 50+ protection.
