Little hat wearers in training-a hundred plus years ago

I got this picture yesterday it was in a very faded yellowing condition and I was able to bring it up somewhat through Photoshop techniques. I am not a power user but you can see these kids fairly clearly.

It seems over 100 years old. Look at the baby carriage (pram) and the doll. It appears to be made of wicker. The little girls are wearing fancy hats just like their mothers. The girl at the back has a really fancy hat. What about the large hat on the small girl in front?

The boys also have hats but they are nearer in style to what we see now. The kid in the middle looks like a girl dressed as a tomboy! A very cute picture. Perhaps I can work on it more to improve it?

That does seem very odd, sailor's costume being popular for little boys. Maybe that child is really a little boy, it's hard to tell sometimes in old photographs.

By the way, your blog is wonderful and the idea of it admirable. I wish everyone would go back to olden day costume. If we did I think the world would both look and be a lot prettier.

Thanks.

Maybe a boy _ very feminine looking in the face with long hair though - looks like a doll LOL
